It does not say on the cover, but this is part 4 in the F13-series. It is a good horror movie, but none of my favourite Jason films.
Most of the story goes around a young boy named Tommy. He got a thing for doing scary masks. He lived with his mother and sister Trish on the beach of Crystal Lake. A gang of teenagers rent the house next to them, to party away a few days. 2 twin sisters join the party monsters. A "bear hunter" comes to camp in the woods nearby. And a maniac with a hockey mask comes along and kills must of them.
This is one of the weaknesses with this movie. We never get to know why a single mother chooses to live on a serial killers playground. The teenagers in the house show no signs of knowing anything about Jason and Camp Blood. The twins sisters, who are they? Why are they cycling around the lake? Do they live there? There are a lot of questions coming up watching this movie. You get the feeling that director Joseph Zito made up the story, while they was shooting the movie. A bad script work.
There are so much stupid scenes in this movie. Beware!! The following is just a part of the movie:
1.Tommy and Trish's mother comes home. They are not at home. Next we see Tommy and Trish driving in a car on their way home. Were have they been? We never see them leave.
2. Trish says she goes out to look for mother. Tommy gets order to fix the light. Outside Trish finds a tent. She goes inside the tent and sits down. Why? That's really stupid!
3. In the tent Bob tells Trish about Jason, and they gets scared, because Tommy are alone in the house. They run to the house. Tommy is safe!! Nice. Hey! What happened to the neighbours? Bob and Trish take Gordon, the dog, and go to the other house. LEAVING TOMMY ON HIS OWN AGAIN!!!!!
4. The other house: Bob are searching the cellar after Jason. We se dog jump out through a window. Trish invest the noise and finds dead bodies. She runs down stairs to Bob saying Jason is around. Jason comes out from the shadows and attack Bob. WHY THE HELL DID GORDON THE DOG JUMP OUT THE WINDOW?
There are a lot of these kinds of bloopers in this movie.
The acting are various from real good (Young Corey Feldman as "Tommy") to really bad (Most of the teenagers, especially the guy that are called "dead fuck"). One thing that I miss with this movie is that the humour is missing. At least in Jason's behaviour. He is all evil. I don't like it. A good F13 should contain some jokes as well.
I you like F13, I guess you have to check out this movie. If not, its OK to miss.
